Post that not really sense make.....

Doubt the officers were CID, they don't bother enforcing traffic matters, they primarily deal with robbers/burglars/murderers.

And if I were you I would keep your fast driving for more suitable places in future.

You saw it was the police in an unmarked car and still decided to speed away from them because they had 'nowt on u'?!

You don't need to be traffic to enforce speed or have a camera. Calibrated speedo on a follow  will do it or the evidence of officers if speed is v. excessive. Save it for the de-restricted roads.

They could have 'done' you regardless of the car, speedo or whatever else.  Ultimately in court it comes to evidence and in your case had they not been lenient it would have been their word against yours.  In court, I would think the evidence presented by two officers of the law would carry a bit more weight than yours.  Not a guaranteed conviction for sure but if they had wanted to they could have made your life a lot more difficult.

Lucky indeed ...

No, Police officer ID does not state that they are CID, or whatever department you are, it will state PC/Sgt etc, name and badge number.
Did they tell you that they were CID? As most police cars around here, marked or unmarked are Astras.

The officers would need to follow you for one third of a mile to obtain the evidence they needed to show your excess speed and that you continued to drive over the limit for that time.

There isn't a big enough facepalm on the 'net for how retarded this thread is.

I hope they tear you a new arse next time, even if it is just for your spelling.

Know your audience.

Boasting about speeding and getting away with it might be all hip with some 18 year olds on a barry forum, it doesn't really wash with us.

We all bend the rules, we just keep our mouths shut about it.  :happy2:

I've gotta admit mate only two of your posts have stuck in my mind. This one where you got loads of grief and the one about your tinted windows, during which you also got loads of grief  :signLOL:

^^^This. If you do something illegal, like speeding at 60mph in a 30mph, and then post about it, it can (and in the past, has) been used as evidence in a court of law.

If you had said: I was going a little faster than I should have, got followed by plain-clothes police who pulled me and told me off instead of a fine and points. I think I've been very lucky - this would appear less reckless and foolish than what you posted.
