Title: VEry quick one...CANBUS gateway query.

Right my sisters just bought a 57 plate GT Sport and she has a RCD300 in it.

If the gateway on this is newer than L it would be ok for the battery drain issue....I know that.

But could I swap gateways over with my one? She doesn;t need to worry about the drain issue as she has the 300 while I just bought a 310.

Would they both need coding - if they weren't waht issues would occur?

It needs to be K or newer generally speaking to get around the battery drain issue

They would both need coding as every car has a different set of options in most cases, if you didnt alot of things could stop working or reporting incorrect information.

Use VCDS and make screendumps of the install list of each gateway install list, then it's a walk in the park  :happy2:
