Just wanted to double check. Also, is it more expensive getting direct from VW as they're just down the road.

You want longlife oil regardless of service schedule...

I run my ED30 on T&D and continue to use Longlife III oil as this seems to be the generally recommended way forward as its a better quality oil than what VW recommend using on T&D
And yes, VW are quite pricy for it. If you have a TPS nearby, you can get exactly the same stuff from them for dramatically less.

Ok..cheers for the answers lads

VW Quantum oil is what you want, 507 spec. Dealers will charge around £27 for 4 litres IIRC.Ask for a new filter/sump plug at the same time and get a discount
There are lots of oils which are 507 such as Comma,Fuchs,Valvoline, castrol.
Doesnt matter if your on T&D or Longlife 507 is the one for you.
There is a lot of debate as to weather Longlife is good for the engine. I wouldnt like to leave oil in for up to 20000 miles
10000 miles = new oil and filter :happy2:

:stupid:
507 is for diesels. You want 504 standard. Must be approved to VW504. Must have the "approved" and "504" bit.
You want 5W-30 spec oil.
