Hello there! Ive been useless as doing write ups of late, but as the weather gets better, Miglior is very very busy trying to keep up with it all! But, thats only a good thing! Anyways, its time for a write up of a New Audi A5 S-Line.

Our Twitter/Facebook might have seen a sneak peak of this already! If you want to see daily update and photos, please follow us! links are in the Signature!

This was booked by the Local Audi Dealership. You might be asking why would a new car need a correction detail? Well...Audi Were not too happy with how it was delivered. They tried themselves to correct the damage, but as we all know, detailing is a very specialised area. Furthermore, paint correction in my opinion is not an extension of valeting.
The car was booked in for a full 3 day correction, which you cant say fairer as the Audi Dealership wanted the best possible finish for their customer!

This is car on arrival.

So on with the wash outside. First it was given a citrus based degreaser to bite through the layer of dust and dirt picked up on the car.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F3.jpg&hash=495c77808dc3b20757e89d3f61d1f8a299dc5b7a)

The wheels being done.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F6.jpg&hash=8a51b06dfedea671d7e88ef2fe17ddee3494bf24)

Then onto a snowfoam rinse to make absolutely sure any dust or dirt was off the car's surface.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F8.jpg&hash=2a181c6ea1de47a5aadf79219af80856d9c63393)

Any gaps, grills vents etc were thoroughly cleaned.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F9.jpg&hash=e35f1971dd0f46dc3dd158c43534b2d7c34c2ff2)

The car was then washed with our safe two bucket method.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F10.jpg&hash=085e7405767c3eece063de7471e92f30125de321)

Once the car was rinsed, it was clear to see there was no protection on the paint at all. The paint was holding on to a lot of water.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F11.jpg&hash=eff7d7a4d0e669f45a490b4f8d89f1a33fa9422e)

The car was treated to remove tar spots.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F12.jpg&hash=a3b45106a01963f280a327631becc12a20e59eec)

Then Rinsed again.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F13.jpg&hash=3f4a3c007fa5e58f1d70ccae39e80687164cb7ba)

The car was moved into the studio whilst wet for the second stage of decontamination to begin.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F14.jpg&hash=d5679a30ac1d8a0e5354db8abcb9a3614685f79b)

Then Dried

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miglior.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fdetailed%2F556%2Fresize%2F16.jpg&hash=558b1daf759c1bc675ae8f486d12430abba301a9)

Once we had a clean dry car, it was time to assess the damamge properly on the paintwork. The paint thicknes was measured and we looked at the condition of the paint under various lights.

very nice end result, I hope you slipped a business card in the glove box so they no where to come back when the supermarket washers have done with it!

Our local dealers have the usual team of Polish Valeters and they are very competent with the long handled broom when washing cars, new or old.

No surprise they are forbidden to approach my car with such weaponry.

Even after the tw@ts fooked the paintwork on my Ed30 the service reception guy got quite shirty when I asked them not to wash my .:R when it was last in.

"But we do all cars as a matter of course sir","Touch mine and I'll kick you round the car park, simples".

Maybe it's best my time with VW has come to an end. :signLOL:
