I picked up a rather nice Manfrotto for when I was going to the Shuttle launch to complement my Velbon mini, it is very nice indeed :happy2:
Probably use it tonight to see what Lunar shots I can get.
...makes me wished I'd bought my telescope adaptor already but I've been putting it off for years.
-
Manfrotto's are great products.
cmrdfire... you need to sort that adapter out. :happy2:
-
I have a decent telescope, at some point I'll get it connected to the canon as that would give some epic celestial shots in the summer I reckon
-
Sunny all day, now cloud cover... again :sad1:
-
took the kids up the fields to have a look, they were well chuffed until i heard a dog and said it could be a werewolf

Might have to get a few early ones in. :happy2:

Well, not the Moon... but when I was outside with my telescope I pointed it at Saturn and got a nice view there. Randomly decided to point my Leica into the eyepiece, and look what I got!

Very chuffed with this, that's 100% and I didn't think it'd be possible to capture anything at all!
F/2, 1/12s, ISO 1250 (IIRC), 28mm lens (aided by a Meade ETX-90 (1250mm, f/13.8 ))
-
Nice one mate!
-
Some frikkin' awesome moon shots. I wish I had a decent camera set up. Headed out last night and noticed the moon was very low, very big and very yellow. Would have made an awesome shot. Made me howl anyway.
EDIT: cmdrfire, did you just poke your camera at the eye piece of the telescope? Or did you use some kind of adaptor?
-

Just as long as you don't start taking pictures of Uranus we'll be just fine. :booty:
-
@Stealthwolf, I just pointed the camera into the eyepiece, manually set to the settings described. Took a few shots, all of the others suffered from camera shake but I got that one at least :jumpmove:
-
Was at a housewarming last night and someone brought there telescope (it had an computerised equatorial mount but he didnt know how to use it)
Manage to take this on my iphone through the eyepiece.
