I have a 1.6FSI golf with a fair few mods done to it. It has been in the garage for about 6 months as I have my bike for thrills and a company car for work. Would you sell the car as it is and hope someone is interested or strip it down and sell the car as standard and parts separate?
The problem is I don't have some of the standard parts anymore so it could cost more trying to get them?
If I advertise the car as it is I feel I will lose a fair amount of money because people don't pay much more for modified cars.
What would you do? :happy2:

A good start would be to list what has been added, some items may put off buyers. But some items may fetch good money on here

I've just been in the same situation and i've decided to strip mine, make the car more appealing to a wider audience therefore hopefully making it worth slightly more and your still able to recoup some money by selling the parts. I had all my original parts though, was just a case of swapping them back over for me.
Off topic but hows the bike going, still enjoying it?! You modded that yet?!

Complete Leather GTI interior including door cards

Cheers Matt, yeah bike is going great love it! Especially now the sun is coming out a bit.
Yeah fitted sportsbars, exhaust, double bubble few other bits and bobs to it. Absolutely love it

The list of mods would make more if you sell them of the car
where are you located?
example: Scott Golfman sold his R32 lights got just over £160, most buyer wouldn't know the difference

Yeah I think it would, I just need the original parts. Maybe I could just put it as a term of the sale.
Im located in the westmidlands. :happy2:

Things like the leather and xenons would help sell the car and add value, as would the eddy lights. I'd try and put the standard wheels on though. :happy2:
Anything OEM+ that looks factory fitted is a bonus!
