Title: Plastic trim cleaner
Post by: nads1_uk on March 20, 2011, 05:05:31 pm
A friend of mine has got some water marks on the black plastic trim on the wheel arch of their cooper.  What's the best product to remove these stains?

Cheers

I'd always recommend cleaning black plastic trim with some all purpose cleaner and a brush. Then dress it with some trim dressing.

Cheers for that can you recommend some specific products that I could tell them to buy?

Mer bumper and trim cleaner always did a good job on my old polo

Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel - brillant stuff that lasts for ages, beads water nicely and can be used to dress trim, tyres etc.

As has been said make sure the trim is clean first by giving it a good scrub with All Purpose Cleaner and a detail brush.

Alternatively Gtechniq do a fantastic trim restorer C4, pricey though.

Hope this helps.
