Title: Which Claybar
Post by: Degudodger on March 21, 2011, 01:08:47 pm
Afternoon Gents,

Going to give the Jetta a well needed clean this weekend but can not for the live of me find my claybar. Are any of the unbranded Claybars on the bay any good or should I steer clear and just get a known name?

Cheers  :happy2:

Should be fine. Alternatively pop down to your local halfrauds and get a meguiars one.

My bf bought a Bilt Hamber clay bar and seems to do the job well. Only needs water as a lube although I used Megs quick detailer.

Good reviews, very reasonable price too, loads on ebay.  :happy2:

Each bar can be divided into at the most 4 pieces. Megs smooth surface kit comes with two bars - you could get up to eight minibars (each one is usually enough for one car).

Myself and my detailer friend use Bilthamber this has won Auto Express product tests and as Mandy said it can be used with just water but i too use an autosmart lube.

You can pick them up for about £10 so they're good value as well.

I used 'Bilt Hammer' auto clay for the first time this weekend and can highly recommend it for the price and I used it with just water.
