Title: Importing from USA?
Post by: s3dubbin on March 22, 2011, 09:18:54 pm: Anybody got any experience in importing tuning parts from USA? Any pro's and cons that you know of? Obviously import/customs tax, does anybody know how this works, does it go by mass/bulk or item value? Thanks a lot, Stevie.

Post by: Phil Miller on March 22, 2011, 10:57:33 pm: I have recently bought stuff from the usa it cost me £145 for the item and postage and then royal mail posted a letter thro my door saying i had to pay an extra £35 import tax :surprised: i didnt think it would be that much TBH they wont deliever it until you pay that with a debit or credit card, apart from that all was great i was emailed the tracking number and followed it all the way, i did ask the seller to send it as a gift but because it was a breakers yard they said they cant do that for some reason, i would do it again but id factor in for the inport tax alittle more next time

Some times you are lucky if you know somone that lives out there, or a fowarding address then it can be a gift.
