Right, the previous owner wasnt exactly the best at parking and it shows on the wheels (18" monzas)!all but one are very scratched and need a refurb! As most of you know they need to be sent off for a refurb.
I dont have any wheels to put on the gti if i send them off so at the moment the only plan i can think of is to leave it on supports at my folks place when i go on holiday for 2 weeks in the summer so i can take the 3 wheels off!
Anyone else think of any bright ideas?

buy some cheap 2nd hand steels, leaving it on axle stands for any great length of time is risky
-
where abouts are you from ? as laptab in birmingham to a drive in/out service. and there great they did my last car
-
Id say do them in pairs, and use a couple of steels.
You're better off getting all 4 done rather than 3.
-
How much did they charge? They're on the other side of Brum from me but might mosey on down when I next get the chance.
-
i've emailed the brum people to see if they do a one day service on diamond cut will let you know the outcome, but i doubt it!
-
If you decide to do them in pairs then if you need a spare spare then I'm happy to lend you mine! :happy2:
Although knowing sods law I will get a puncture haha!
-
pristine wheels in milton keynes do a swap service through your local tyre fitter, never used them but heard good things :happy2:
-
£150 gets you my old alloys and the tyres left on them!
18" shark Dare alloys from my last mkv golf car with 3mm of tread left on the tyres.

A1 wheel renovations in wolverhampton are pretty much the best in the country and have done loads of monza's, Red robins for sure and im pretty sure greenhouses also. When i rang them a while back they offered to put other wheels on the car while they are being refurbed which im sure is a standard service they offer :happy2: :happy2:

I echo winrya comments, my pescara's are at A1 at the moment for some repairs/changes  and they offered me a set of loan wheels (they would only be 17" though). :happy2:

I had a conversation with the bodyshop my car has just been in for some repairs. They refurbed all of my wheels and they would have given me a car for the two days or so while my wheels were there. So it might be worth checking with any places in your local area that refurb wheels, as I would have never thought to visit some of these places to ask this question.
