I am looking to see how a matt black wrap for mirrors, splitter and grill outer centre section might look, also possibly part of the rear valance. Any good outfits near Hemel,Watford, St Albans area ?
:happy2:

I could wrap your mirrors for you!

Tell me more
Will you be there tomorrow for a chat

Where... At the meet? Yes!
I've wrapped front badges which are a pig, doing a mirror should be fairly easy.

How tough is wrapping? I need to cover a small part of the fog light grille in chrome or have it chrome plated, which can withstand stone chipping for a reasonable amount of time before needing redoing?

I found that vinyl is more resilient that matt paint to stone chips!

I spent most of Saturday cleaning and polishing the car. I used a strong APC and strippedthe car clean of wax, then Zymold HD Cleansed, didnt have time to clay, but this was pretty good, then 2 coats of zymol wax. Looks awesome so I have decided to leave an enhancement detail until it needs it.
As I was going to get the vinyl wrap done at the same time I am now looking again for a good place to go to wrap mirrors, grill, splitter and rear valance inset (not sure about this, still thinking of the rear) around ST Albans, Hemel, Watford area :happy2:
Suggestions greatly appreciated

Dont wrap the mirrors, especially if your thinking of the carbon fibre effect wrap.. Waste of money and will shrink, as its stretched to install.
Been there twice with Racoon Vehical wraps many moons ago...
This wrap is good as long as its not stretched to apply.
Mirrors will looked better resprayed, or buy a spare set and keep the origonals.
Ive since opted for Black gloss wrap on various parts on my car, and as i said, as long as its not stretched on, it will hold with no issue as long as its to a pre painted surface, and not over plastic. :happy2:

Okay, thanks,
I'll look for a spare set of mirror covers to keep the originals. will vinyl wrap work on the grill surround okay ?
-
The surround should be easy... in fact i might have a pop at doing mine!
-
PS any idea how much I will pay for a second hand set of mirrors ?
-
For caps, £30-40 ish?
