well some of you may laugh but i gotta find out someway ha. i got a 2006 gti and was just wondering really how do i tell if its got a k03 or k04 turbo. using my common sense im guessing k04 are bigger so imagine iv got a k03??

Im a newbie too but I do know that GTI's got the k03 and the ed30's got k04 :happy2:

Its rather simple the 200ps 2.0TFSI engine uses the K03 turbo. The 230 and above 2.0TFSI engines in the ED30 and Pirelli and also in the S3 and Cupra's are the larger K04 turbo.

I have white but black is the fastest colour, I remember reading about it a few years ago, something about the molecular make up of the paint work etc. I dont spose you can really tell but Black is def fastest
