1st experience of these nice people today. 16 year old kid took 1Hr 1nd 10 minutes to fix a bloody puncture.
Good job it was in works time and a company van. Wouldnt trust these people with a box of frogs.

You'd be surprised what a kwik fit fitter can do!

I wouldn't let them change a tyre on a tamiya model!

...on the other hand, our kwik fit is situated directly next to our ATS
i go to kwik fit for the price, walk into ATS for them to beat it :grin:
neither are worth their salt though i only use them as a last resort... the stories i could tell :laugh:

TBH I've had no issues with our local kwik fit. Decent price on supply and fitting tyres (within £15 of those online things). Easily sorted out a few issues on the fiesta.
They're not all bad but I think it is rather hit'n'miss.

I have to use my local Kwik Fit for tyres for the leased company van I drive for work. Luckily, they're not a bad bunch.
I got a puncture a while back. I discovered that my neighbour's builder was putting a skip on my driveway for a few hours whilst I was out at work without my permission. Unfortunately, his sweeping up skills matched his throwing things on target into the skip skills so I ended up with a piece of radiator pipe in my tyre after I pulled up on the drive in the dark when I got home. Went out in the morning to discover a big fat flat. After putting the spare on, sweeping up all the cr*p and taking it round to the neighbours I popped down to Kwik Fit for a new tyre. Two days later, the same thing happened. Got a screw with a bit of kitchen cupboard attached to it through the tread. Another wheel change, another trip to the neighbours and another trip to Kwik Fit saw them repair the puncture within 10 minutes and for free so can't fault them there.
That was Kwik Fit in Shirley, West Midlands. Went to Kwik Fit in Banbury once and the service there was the polar opposite. Absolutely chuffing useless!

Similar thing happened to me in Guppa P(ATS) in plymouth as well

It would be the last place i would take or get a new tyre from that and national tyres. They both want nearly a 170 pounds for cont sport contact 3s for 1 tyre. there is a small tyre place 5 miles away and they are 70 pounds cheaper. nearly 2 for 1

:grin: I had a puncture in the same way about a year ago. Neighbours threw out loads of crap into a skip. I drive home at night and wonder what the grating noise is as I reverse the car into the garage. In the morning, it's not shifted (originally thought I'd trapped something as I parked up) and pull over to check. :sick:

my local national tyres will beat any price i take to him off the net. Been going to him since i started driving.

Just keep your ears to the ground... there are aways bargains out there and kind people willing to help out!
Kwik-shoot would have charged me the best part of 100 pounds more for a pair of front tyres.
