Does anyone have any photos of legal tints on a gti ?
Quite fancy getting it done but no idea how 30% light allowance would look ?
:happy2: :popcornsoda:

you cant tint the front any more but the rears you can limo black them if you wanted.
-
I thought you could 30 % or is it 0 now ?..
-
the front windows have a faint tint from factory...well mine do, the blue type tint. i bet thats only letting 70% light through
-
Hmmm, yeah mine aren't blue ! I think that was on early models
I don't want front and rear windows different shades

from my experience you wont be able to go darker on the fronts. 90% of decent tinting places wont touch them due to the funny laws. I bet they have some kind of tint on maybe not the blue.

Almost all cars these days have slight tints to the windows.
The VW one was originally blue for the MK5 but they changed to green for costcutting.

The best way for tints IMO is 50% on the front, it's noticeable but not enough that police will pull you over, I had 50% front and 70% back on my polo which looked very smart and will be doing so on the geetai!

Just had mine done today, went for a medium tint on the rears, was gonna do the fronts but thought i try save a little money...looks really nice as front are 30% anyway,

look at my for sale thread of the 2007 white gti, its got legal tints on frontthey do look very dark looking in as you are looking into a dark car or through both front windows, but from the inside its realy quite bright, i have never had a problem with them :)

That looks good Tom
Anyone got any photos of a black gti with legal tints like that ?
Your car has just reminded me again how much I like White golfs !

My ED 30 has the factory rear privacy glass & i think that makes the front window tint look darker.
