So stupid and can't believe I haven't spotted this yet what is it for?
Some sort of alarm I'm guessing?

Top half to disable the interior motion sensors and the bottom half incase you ever need to be towed, some will correct me if im wrong! :happy2:
-
Where is it I have not seen that button?
-
Where the drivers seatbelt hangs, lower part of the A pillar is it?
Thanks for that how do I tell if the interior sensors are active or de-active? Just I've done that whole lock yourself in the car and wobble about and my alarm didn't go off :(
-
As said top half to disable sensors bottom anti-tilt sensor.
How did you lock your car before testing the sensor? if you use the switch on the door the alarm wont arm, I have set mine off before when sat in the back and I locked the doors using the remote. I believe the switch only deactivates for the next time the car is alarmed and will default back to ultrasonics on, same with tilt. The time I set the alarm off it was a good 5-10 minutes before the alarm triggered so it may have a timer before the sensor is triggered.
-
Mine's been set off before with someone sat in the passenger seat and only took seconds to activate.
-
i have locked mine while paying for fuel and the passenger set it off
-
Strange i only have 1 button there

Strange i only have 1 button there
Yep it's just one button with two functions.
-
Found that button in my handbook when I was bored, its the anti tow alarm button, but as the euro models dont even have an alarm I dont have one :scared:
-
I read about that anti tilt alarm button but in my daily job I reqularly use a recovery trailer (front axle lift) and you must have the key in and steering lock disengaged.
Is the button for use on flatbeds I wonder?

The inclination sensor is for when the more sophisticated thieves that have access to a crane come to take your pride and joy.
A lot of the budget Vag range Skoda and Seat don't have them
Also when I upgraded my CCM it had a Alarm trigger that was logged due to the inclination sensor. So the car had been in an accident and was towed or carried away

How come I don't have one in my 2007 GTi?
-
Old thread, but does anyone know where this is? Getting a few faults.
