I'm planning on colour coding the rear bumper tomorrow, i have the correct colour paint and the lacquer,
I have primer fill also, my question is will i still need plastic primer or will the primer fill do the job?
thanks
Aidan

You spraying this yourself?
Have others done a DIY on colour coding?
-
Yeah will be spraying it myself..
Not sure if many have attempted this....
Have the tools and spray booth at work...
-
Don't mean to be rude - BUT - If you have a spray booth at work, therefore your work must carry out some sort of body repairs/ spraying service wouldn't they know the correct primer to use?
-
When spraying onto plastic you should always use a plastic primer to get the adhesion to the surface from my days in bodywork
-
The spray booth in work is for furniture... Timber.
Just to be safe I'll use plastic primer first.

Sorry was just me reading too much into things :drinking:
-
Just picked up the plastic primer and gave the first coat,
Peace of mind...
Flattening the little dimples takes a while,
And that's with an orbital sander!
