Title: VeeDubs Detailing Toys
Post by: veedub18 on November 05, 2008, 01:20:21 pm
Ok with winter on its way and the shed needing a tidy up, I persuaded the missus to let me keep all my detailing kit in the spare room out of the cold lol!  Hopefully my garage will be built by the spring, and then it can all go in there.

I have tried a LOT of detailing products!

Here's the bulk products,

And the rest...

I'm a Zaino fan, the whole range of products get great results and very easy to use. The other bonus is that they dont cost the earth  :happy2:

I have a Millwaukee AP12QE rotary, 3M and Megs pads, 3M Ultrafina and FastCut Plus, Megs #80,#83,#84, (sold my PC 7424 on to a friend as it took far too long to get results on VW/Audi rock hard paint) The AP12 is 240V so no transformer, really light and easy to use. Practised on my 8 year old Golf Mk4 1.4 first with no problems at all, then gave the GTI a swirl removal session.

I've now got a long list of friends and work colleagues wanting theirs done, just waiting for the garage to get built. Might earn me a bit of extra $$$ to buy even more detailing bits.... :happy2:

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Awesome kit!

I wish mine was half as big as that  :jumping:

Dear Newgolfs missus

I completely agree with you. Your husband is nuts.  :P

I wish South Africa had access to these products... Besides importing that is.  :rolleye:

LOL! I enjoy detailing and its more like a hobby to me.

Most of these products aren't sold in Guernsey either so I have to pay to import them. I get my Zaino all from cleanyourcar.co.uk

Maybe we should both be resellers!

I would not say no to that... I can sell in SA.

Er... What exactly does it involve though? I have heard about it though.

I guess you'd have to contact places like Megs UK/USA and Zaino directly, place large orders and you'd get the trade prices. Then pop up a decent website and spread to word  :happy2:

If there's no one selling it where you are, I bet it would sell real fast, once people who are into looking after their cars like us get to know about it.

I havent got much room until this blooming garage gets built, but once that gets done, whos knows...

That sounds great. I will do a bit of product research over here and see what I can get or what the market wants.  :drinking:

I've bought a few things that I've kept, some not used some have been, from when I learnt about detailing from over at ukfn. I have so many MF towels that I could cover the entire car with them and still have enough left over to cover another one!
