Post by: Hedge on March 29, 2011, 11:13:58 am
Rumour has it a large flying tin triangle is heading your way sometime this afternoon.

Pictures are compulsory as she has been "detailed" during her winter maintenance period.

When I say rumour this was a bit of a giveaway. http://www.dsaf.co.uk/index.html

and when I say "detailed" I understand they cleaned the wings with something called WadPol. http://www.indestructible.co.uk/wadpol/

I can't see Jay rushing out to buy some in the near future. Maybe Swissvax or someone like that should have approached them and said we'll detail your plane.  :signLOL:

Wish I had been there but the Vulcan to the Sky Trust and Club were sworn to secrecy by the Airport.

Having said that though enough people on various forums seemed to be well informed on the subject.  :fighting:

we used to use Wadpol years ago, for polishing the bare aluminium leading edges on DC9's, not seen it for ages but saying that the airlines don't hold exterior appearance in high regard anymore as it costs, it was like an industrial brasso

good so see the old girl out and about hedge :happy2:
