Title: Can somebody confirm something.....
Post by: Gtiain on March 29, 2011, 06:32:35 pm
I ordered this part number- 1k0907530ad from 'car systems' in Poland. I've received this-

I guess this is not an ad revision and indeed c?

I'm pretty sure that the 7N0 parts are from a Passat.

It's the equivalent of an AD revision as it's date is 19-12-2010

They are the compatible models and it was EOS i was thinking of not Passat.

Sorry for the complete numpty questions but will this fit my 06 plate?

As long as the shape is the same and the pins on the back are in the same place for the mounting plate then yes.

Just be aware when coding you need to take screen shots of each byte as that one will have 30 off the top of my head and yours will have 20. Some of the bits within the bytes will have moved around.

Right well it is Darren who is fitting it for me. I'll be mighty pissed off if it doesn't!

Thanks  :happy2:

This is one of the newest ones, and the AD version is older than this

7N0 is the new new sharan

I fitted one of these CAN Gateways to mine the other day

These modules do not employ the long coding method for setting what is installed. In long coding all you specify is whether the car is RHD and has 4 doors instead of 2

It is important that you screenshot the gateway installation list of your old can gateway, as this is how the new one is configured.

Ensure that all the boxes match up - steering assist has moved to the top of the list instead of 4 or so down so dont miss it out!

Youll need VCDS 10.6.3 or newer in order to code these gateways too

Do you mean the 7N0 gateway, or to code any gateway (from K on) that wasn't fitted aas standard?

The 7N0 gateway as this employs Gateway Installation List for coding similar to Audi's instead of long coding for installed configuration

Aye, but you should (if using a genuine interface) be using the latest software
