Sorry, what I meant to say was I have a contact that works at VW parts distribution centre who gets staff discount on things like this, hence why I have a map disk. So if anyone wants maps, I may be able to get some more... Apologies if any insinuation regarding counterfeit goods/breach of copyright was inferred...

My disc was a lot less than the one listed above on ebay...

Aye. Forums and websites have been shut down by VAG in the past due to discussion of obtaining maps illegally. Firmware however I believe is free to be distributed.

Ahhhh my car went to  VW TSC@ Milton Keynes to have some work carried out, apart from repairing a few issues i was having they managed to compliment my vehicle by putting 157 miles on the car, damage all 4 Pescara alloys (which were almost new and recently replaced) and scuff the front lower chin spolier (which has since been replaced and painted)
Mr Sm@llcock....i mean Woolcock (sorry my typing skills are dreadful) knows who i am thats for sure!

Sorry to spam the post, Morty is the guy to ask about Maps on here.....he might be able to help advise you.

What are the key differences with the V7 maps in comparison to V6 which I already have?

Apart from latest maps with map updates, it allows you full postcode entry.

No longer do you type in the first few digits and have to select a postcode (if it exists) from a menu. Type the full thing in and it'll select the correct road.

In that case I must already have the V7 maps as I can type in the full postcode.

Thanks fellow wolf!

I'm sure you have the secret menu enabled so if you look in there, it'll tell you the map version.
