I recently got mine from Camskill, next day delivery which was great. Paid £10 per tyre for fitting and balancing and worked out £20 cheaper per tyre than blackcircles

I ordered 2 vredestein ultrac sessanta's (225 40 18) from blackcircles on Monday for £243.32 fitted.

That was the cheapest when I looked (currently the same price fitted)

But have noticed the tyre only price is now £107.26 each (+ Del), which is a good price :happy2:

Just spoke with Camskill and was informed that they are getting a container of Vredestein tyres towards the end of April. Also informed that the price would be coming down a bit but he couldn't give me a price. Think I'll hang fire for a few weeks for mine.

Thats the centro price, the sessanta's will be more expensive and as it says 'call for availability' they are probably not in stock.

They are just widely regarded as one of the best makes of tyres without paying ludicrous prices. Very hard wearing and give great grip in all weather.

Try www.tyretraders.com

They've been good for me in the past but ring as opposed to just getting the web prices..

Just had fitted 4 Dunlop Sport Max TTs (make sure you ask for TTs as some dealers will tell you they don't exist) for £460 fiited and they're a great tyre and get good write-ups in all the car mag tyre tests, check out www.tyrereviews.co.uk/

Got them from my local tyre dealer but the price seems fairly universal.

They work really well on the Golf but I suspect might wear fast as they seem really soft, hence the good grip. Also they have really good rim protectors which is a bonus when the missus takes the car into town.

Might try the Vredesteins next when they actually get some into the country.

add to that, after much research CAMSKILL came out cheapest for the tyres alone but it's a long way to get them fitted for me so soaked the extra on local

Another vote here for Camskill - fast delivery and good prices. Great if you have a local garage who will fit them for you.

I've got two of those on the rears of my Z4 Coupe (which I'm currently selling in order to buy an Edition 30) and they seem pretty good so far - have only had them on for a couple of months but handling etc seems on a par with the Goodyear F1s I had on before them.

I have them and think they're pretty good, not brilliant in the wet though if you try to set off too fast

Probably best to just go for the Falkens mate - I don't hear such good things about those alkens!

Falkens are a very poor tyre in terms of performance.

They are rubbish!  If you like chronic understeer then buy them. The difference between them and a premium tyre is night and day!

Price for the Dunlops was at my local tyre depot Welland Tyres, always competitive on price but probably won't suit if you're no where near Lincs.
DO NOT BUY THE FALKENS, that was the last tyre I had and they were crap to say the least and I only got something like a 25 quid per tyre saving over the Dunlop TTs which wasn't worth it. One positive was they lasted forever to the point where I just wanted rid. Ultrac Centros look the best bet for around the £100 mark if you can get them... probably gone up though like all tyres lately. Nankangs will be over a hundred soon at which point elastic bands might be better.

Ultrac Sessantas get an incredible write-up too on www.tyrereviews.co.uk/

Had a real supply problem a month ago though on the Centro and the Sessanta as they were back-logged on making winter tyres for the Euro market but should be ok now as they gave me Late March early April as date for purchase.

Nexen seem to be the new budget kings, less than 90 quid a corner fitted and good reviews.
