If this is worth a punt then I'm ordering now... :happy2:
# admin notice link removed, fake VCDS cables aren't to be advertised here!
-
Not genuine so be warned...
-
Can damage modules, and is not upgradeable to later versions that the one its supplied with
I had one of these once....shorted out the first time I plugged it in :signLOL:
-
So might work though not upgradeable.....
Might have a think...
They do another one as well which I might look at
Would I still need the VCDS software?
-
You will need VCDS software to connect it to use with the car for diagnostics, yes
Copycat cables on the newer CAN cars are often more hassle than its worth. The old K-LINE cables were fine, but thats all changed now.
-
When you say shorted out first time....do you mean the cable of the port?
-
The cable, and it blew the fuse in the car!
-
Better off giving the money to a worthy charity or setting light to it in the back garden.
-
False economy, in my opinion, had my hex can a few months and it has paid for itself in the times I have used it, saving on dealer prices

You can't make all the codings with a clone. Also some functions do not work.
Buy the original http://www.ross-tech.com/products.html

With what I;ve had to and will be paying out this month I can't afford another £250 for a cable...
Would rarely use it anyway.

Ok than the clone should do the job in your case :happy2:
