Title: Cleaning the engine cover
Post by: TimS996 on March 31, 2011, 05:12:47 pm
Anyone have any advice on what to use to clean the big plastic engine cover without wrecking it?

Its a bit stained with general grime and some oil.

Some degreaser (such as Megs APC or GUNK etc) then a coat of Vinyl and Rubber Care (or a trim gel etc)

Last time I used that Autoglym engine cleaner, it made my rubber hoses go brown!

As above - all purpose cleaner diluted to 1:10
Spray on and agitate with a brush
Rinse off or wipe off with damp pad
