im just up at alton towers and come from bournemouth and thought id see how far a tank could take me if i was carefull. im on 285miles with the range still sayin 205miles. half a tank left. was well happy with that but will report back when im home with what it actually achieved. got 43mpg on the way here and im stage 2+. :signLOL:

I think 42-43mpg is the highest I've ever achieved and that was doing 60mph over something like 150 miles with the occasional overtake of vehicles going slower than 59mph.

Mine is stage 2+ and does loads more miles over when the car was standard iv had 400 once. But iv also only got 200 when I was only doing lots of varying speeds.

I was under the impression mapped cars achieved greater mpg?

Lowest ive had is 145 miles at the nurburgring. brimmed to empty in 10 laps isnt funny.
Highest i had was on a journey from plymouth to hannover in germany and i managed 485 miles to a tank. Cruise control @ 80mph with no traffic the entire way. was impressed with that as it was with 3 people and a full boot, and the octavia boot is twice the size of the golf.

yeh mapped cars are meant to achieve higher mpg but with the additional power comes the un controllable urge to go alot faster than u should. lol. yeh i was also doin 60 - 70mph the whole way so not fun but was surprised it got to that mpg. makes a nice change as usually i get 250-300 per tank and this is gna be more like 450ish but will post up tomorow when im back, always so tempting to have a play now and again. Was happy with myself not rising to a chaved up older s3 that wanted to play. :fighting:

I managed my personal best of 38.3mpg from Wolverhampton to Leicester on Thursday just gone. Was a very nice warm day and the engine was still warm from the wife taking it to work that morning.

right home now and got 495miles from the tank. well impressed although i almost ran out of petrol :rolleye:

beat me, most I've ever managed is 473 :happy2:

The most when I made a point of recording was 341 miles I think. That was with the majority of motorway cruising on a 300mile round trip, clawing in 43.2mpg.
Usually I touch just under 300 miles per tank with all the mixed driving before the ping of the petrol light.... :ashamed:

I've seen over 400 on a couple of occasions, possibly 410.

I get on average 430+ but I do mostly motorway miles :happy2:
When I'm driving on little local roads, it goes under 400 miles.

Managed 430 once, which isn't bad for a Stage 2+ Ed30.. :wink:

I got 35.5mpg on a run from Brighton to Guildford at the weekend. I have never seen it so high and I was sticking to the speed limit all the way. My car keeps getting better and better!!

The most I've got is 375miles, I could've got more but I couldn't resist putting my foot down a bit on some twisty B roads, lol... Least I've got is 160 miles

lol yeh ive had 180miles from a tank before. bit upsetting when u fill up but soo much fun using it all up lol

im 300 before the light comes on thats a full tank of v-power. i average 30mpg most iv seen is 37 tho :sad1:

Now, what's the fewest miles to a tank that anyone's had? I admit, I can't compete with a ringmeister!
