as above, but don't want to spend fortunes.
thanks

My current fave is the dri-u-kwik one from keith/washshop. Duk-173. It's not a plush cloth, so doesn't leave tiny hairs all over the car while you use it.
-
i recently bought 2 blue waffle weave towels from rubbish boys website wich are rele good
-
Gentle Giant ones from elitecarcare.co.uk are my favourite atm
Absorb a huge amount of water and work really well
-
Chemical Guys Miracle Drying Towel for me. Works a treat and I have two as its also brilliant for buffing off wax.
-
Fluffy blue towels from Clean Your Car, best I have used so far and leave no lint etc behind :happy2:
-
Definitelt better off with a waffle weave drying towel, brand doesn't matter as most shops have their own brand one...
EliteCareCare
CleanYourCar
I4Detailing..
All the same really.

I find the waffle ones get quite hard as they age and start to scratch :sad1:
-
How long have you had the waffle weave ones?
-
Nearly two years. One is a year old too
-
How have you been looking after them?
Wash in washing machine, 40*C, no fabric softener, liquid detergent only, hang to dry, keep in a bag with a spritz of water to stop them completely drying out?
Or have you been doing something else?

Agree here, Megs Water Magnet has a bit of a reputation as time wears on...
Have found the dri-u-kwik ones last better, prefer the CYC or Autobrite blue fluffy ones though.
-
Aye thats how I have washed them. Nothing exciting
I think its because they get overused lol!
-
Only asking because I find it strange that they've worn out so quickly.
I have the dri-u-kwik ones - not true waffle weave but I love them. Can imagine them drying out too which is why I asked.
-
When four cars gets washed weekly, they get quite alot of use
4x52=208
208x2=416
So at least 416 uses over 2 years :signLOL:
-
That's not bad considering the average person would have used may be 100 times over two years. Going through things at four times the rate means you'll go through things a lot more quickly.

Both the same cloth.
The dri u kwik is better, around the same price as the other blue ones as well, I was a big fan of the sonus waffle weave towel but then I found these - softer than the sonus and do the same job.

I had waffle weave and got rid of it for a towel,
Have since bought another waffle one (as gave first one to father in law) as think the towels are quite poor, (even though mine was about £15 off a good shop) Love the waffle ones.

Got some more of those Gentle Giant ones earlier...still my favourite!
