Title: Drivers door fitment!
Post by: percy on April 05, 2011, 07:27:06 pm
Hi guys! Does anybody elses drivers door not sit quite right along the body line? Is it bwcause they are large and heavy and may have just gone a bit worn on the hinge? The passenger side is very little off at  the top too,but doesnt get as much use as the drivers side?  Is there a remedy to cure it?

I think I remember this, and it occurs with cars as they get older.

Not quite sure of the remedy but involves a block of wood and a jack.

Get it into VW as the doors are adjustable in various places, mine didn't sit right and took it back and VW adjusted it.  Sat perfect afterwards. :happy2:

I've noticed this on the driver's door, Mine's is out of warranty (54plate), do you know how much VW or a specialist would charge to get this fixed?

Thanks

I would not have thought much as it's just torqx (star shaped bolts) that they adjust  :happy2: Probably an hours labour i'd have thought.
