Title: New Rims (well kind of!)
Post by: SteveP on March 04, 2009, 09:14:49 pm: Finally got around to getting my Pescara's sorted this week with the help of the guys at A1 Wheels in Wolverhampton :happy2:

I am very very pleased with the finish, the pic's just don't it justice :drool:

you need to get your mits on some autoglym 'bumper care' it's brilliant on the arch liners, gets them nice and black cos it's full of silicone

But, now that I've seen the pics, all I can say is wow! They look superb Steve! Looking forward to seeing them in real life at some point!

She needs lowering to maximise the aggressive look of the wheels though, but I know that that's in your long-term plan :smiley: :smiley:

i think the spacers are good , not sure wether to lower mine and get a lsd or order an rs focus !!

That's a result, like they say, it's not what you know it's who you know :happy2:

Mine was more that Ã‚Â£50 a corner but Mr Greenouse helped me get a very good deal, it took them three days to do mine as they had some damage to short out as well :drinking:

I'm glad you've finally had them done just so I c ould see what they'd be like as I keep toying with the idea for my steel grey edition 30
Is the colour anthracite or black and are they painted or powder coated??

My last car was purple (don't ask!) and I thought white rims would look lush. Unfortunately no one else saw it that way. Bought the GTI before I got round to buying the alloys.

+1. This was the only thing putting me off getting white rims on me old car. Everyday I'd have to hose them down or something.

Thats not as bad as i thought actually, but for the fact would be an absolute arse to keep clean, best scratch that idea of white :signLOL:

Now that is a clever idea, but a little over the top to strap a sign post on just to let everyone no its A ED 30. :signLOL:

I think the shade you chose as well suits the steel grey. When there is a sight shade on the car it looks like a paint match. Understated perfect for that colour. :happy2:

Got me thinking about my wheels done in the same colour :wink:
