Ooooohh Im liking those, much better than the standard silver finish! :happy2:
-
looks good on a grey car
you need to get your mits on some autoglym 'bumper care' it's brilliant on the arch liners, gets them nice and black cos it's full of silicone
-
looks like they did a top job on them
now just a little lower :P

I think I need some of that too, my arch liners are a tad sh*tty!
-

Now get it dropped! :P
How was Nigel?

Robin/Nath, Yes Nigel did look after me very well and I would recommend him and A1 to anyone, you can just about make him in the first picture in the shadow on the back of my car
-

-
looking great mate. Great job.
-
Looking Super 8) 8) Buddy :happy2: Just need to get mine on now
Toast
-
Really liking that colour. Goes well with the Steel Grey. :happy2:
How about some 10mm spacers now to toughen up the stance? Just a suggestion!
-
looks great :)
-
When you first told me what you were going to do with the wheels, I thought that it would make them look really small.
But, now that I've seen the pics, all I can say is wow! They look superb Steve! Looking forward to seeing them in real life at some point!
She needs lowering to maximise the aggressive look of the wheels though, but I know that that's in your long-term plan
-
I think the finish on the wheels look stunning but not sure if they suit the car to be honest but ETTO!
-
That looks absolutly stunning !
Did you consider a red lip and the front splitter insert in Red, it would match the GTI grill and look awesome !
-
Loving the newly painted wheelage Steve :happy2:
At this rate there won't be many people left with stock looking alloys on an ED30 on here :signLOL:
-

....Would look awful with spacers but not lowered as well (IMO).
But.....................

-

-

(http://)(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fn374%2Fcandyturbo_2008%2FDSCF1318.jpg&hash=1e5021790b4dce4086c95a9fc140c5c263a130cf)
i think the spacers are good , not sure wether to lower mine and get a lsd or order an rs focus !!
-
look great mate
-
Very nice steve, also made enquiry's to do the same, they want £50 a wheel and the car for 3 days to do the job!!!!. would need to find alternative transport for the wife/kids

That is very cheap Steve! :chicken:
-
^^^ Ditton, that's what I got quoted by a local bodyshop for a very basic (wheel face only) paint job, a proper job like A1's will cost a bit more than that :happy2:
-
A friend i know who i play Snooker with runs a A1 Powder coating Ltd in Southampton. He's the MD and said £50 a corner. Not sure what SteveP payied? but sounds a good price.........just gota convince the wife now
-
no , mine is the full hog, car would be away for 3 days, due to the time it takes to shotblast, recoat the wheels and cure.

How about White Pescara's, any thoughts or has anyone good on Photshop? on a red car?

That's a result, like they say, it's not what you know it's who you know :happy2:
Mine was more that £50 a corner but Mr Greenouse helped me get a very good deal, it took them three days to do mine as they had some damage to short out as well :drinking:

steve look great :happy2:
-

I'm not sure what this would look like, but I do know that white wheels definitely would be an absolute 'mare to keep clean :scared:
-
How about White Pescara's, any thoughts on a red car?
My last car was purple (don't ask!) and I thought white rims would look lush. Unfortunately no one else saw it that way. Bought the GTI before I got round to buying the alloys.
I'm not sure what this would look like, but I do know that white wheels definitely would be an absolute 'mare to keep clean :scared:
+1. This was the only thing putting me off getting white rims on me old car. Everyday I'd have to hose them down or something.

Looking at that pic....I'm going with a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo!

The wheels look great Steve....I've been thinking about getting mine done in anthracite for quite a while now!

Thats not as bad as i thought actually, but for the fact would be an absolute arse to keep clean, best scratch that idea of white :signLOL:

As requested, got some better pic's of the wheels today.

Now that is a clever idea, but a little over the top to strap a sign post on just to let everyone no its A ED 30. :signLOL:
I think the shade you chose as well suits the steel grey. When there is a sight shade on the car it looks like a paint match. Understated perfect for that colour. :happy2:
-
They look perfect imo :happy2:
So perfect in fact that i now want to do the same to mine lol! Anyone on here gone down the anthracite route on a Tornado red ED30? pics will seal the deal lol
-
I think they would look rather good on a Red car Steve.
-
I think they would look rather good on a Red car Steve.
Glad you made it over here at last mate :happy2:
Just trying to find some pics on the net as we speak...
-
Just looking at some of the cars on here and they do look rather good.
I should of kept my ed30 :surprised:
Got me thinking about my wheels done in the same colour
