Found a cheap one on ebay, so decided to fit one. Looks better than the rectangular one that came with the car

Was it difficult to fit?
very easy to fit, just remove the 2 pieces of trim and slide downward.
depending on which scirocco mirror you get, will decide if you can use your existing trim or buy the one for beam assist

Yes but like on the MK5, you can turn it on and off.
