do they all come with them even if the car only a single cd and not the changer?
-
I dont think any of them come with one , unless it was either retro fitted or added as an option on a new car.
-
ipod dock was an option and didn't come as standard.
-
Anyone got any info on a VW reto fit option?
-
Ive been looking and reading but not got my head round owt....:(

I have one in my ed30 but it doesnt work with my rns510 for some reason  worked fine with the old mfd2 though.
TBH I never use it as the RNS 510 stores all of my music so if anyone wants an ipod dock, I will swap it for the standard parts that go in the armrest + a few beer tokens.

Wiring pins for changer are different on second and third gen stereos, so sound quality usually suffers. You also have to hit CD twice on the RNS to cycle through to the changer, think you also might have to code it to monitor the changer port.

I have fitted a VW aftermarket doc in the arm rest. I removed the 6 disc changer and replaced with the doc - it was that simple. Only down side is that the track names aren't on the stereo!
