Title: Has anyone had to change their cam when fitting Autotech internals?
Post by: berg on April 07, 2011, 11:20:12 pm
Hi giys, just reading the warning/disclaimer on the front of the box and have already bought a cam follower from JKM in case mine needs changing when fit this and go Stg 2 at the end of month.

It says your cam itself might need changing and provides the latest part number.

Has anyone actually had to change it upon inspection and if so how much is the part?

Thanks.

I have seen a few lobes worn due to knackered cam followers, although I only know of a couple of guys in the USA who have had to change their cams due to follower wearing through. Generally speaking, if the follower is okay, the cam will be. :happy2:

ok ta John, so just make sure they are inspected say every 20,000 after fitting internals or is that too long an interval?
