What do you think would be the price difference between a 3 year old GTi in an accident free condition and one with a rear panel replaced ??

Does one have a recorded total loss?

No, not recorded but I am aware of it. Quite hard to see (rear wing) but I am a fussy.

None.

What panel? Rear bumper?

I'd get comfortable with the repair and take maybe £500 off. I would pay £500 more for an accident free car for piece of mind, but that's just me

If it's not recorded then it should have any effect on the 'book' value however an allowance should always be made relative to condition.
