Title: Saving music onto sd card for RCD510
Post by: parks on April 08, 2011, 10:16:31 pm
Does music need to be saved in any particular way onto the card? Or format?

Got a 2gb card I was going to load up tonight.

Cheers!!

You can layer folders on the card e.g. you have a folder for the artist and then album folders inside that. That's the way I find works best anyway.

There isn't a required format for the music to be saved but as Simon mentioned it would be advisable to put in to folders as this will make browsing the music much easier :happy2:

I thought music had to be in MP3 format and the SD card FAT formatted?

It accepts WMA and mp3. SDHC cards are FAT32, and are supported with the right hardware and firmware.

Hi - does anyone know if you can copy music from itunes onto  an SDHC card in a useable format... when trying to drag and drop it I get a warning message saying that it is not in the best format ... M4A???

What you need to do is in iTunes preferences under General Settings change the Import Settings to MP3, then select the M4A files in your iTunes library and choose Create MP3 Version.  :happy2:

(I had to do the same!)
