At some point the day will come when I want to sell the car and was wondering do you guys just keep the mods and sell it like that or is it better to unmod the car-put original parts back on and then sell it?
-
I always return to standard.
-
With difficulty. You narrow your potential buyers down.
-
As above, and as per my post in the other thread, a stock car will gather more interest than a modified one.
Most people are not interested in modding. Hence most want a stock car.
The few people who are into modding seem to want stock cars so they can mod it.
Very few people will buy a modded car, but they are out there!

depends what mods really, decent set of wheels or tastful exterior mods can help sell a car but like others have said its best to return to standard i think, and sell your mods on usually sell common mods quite easily on ebay or forums like this,
especailly if you part ex it, you won't get much for any mods!

Look at Chris Peacocks as a perfect example of that, a gorgeous car, but the work and fun is all done, where can you take that car now.
Best to take all parts off,as you also get more money for the parts seperately.

I stripped mine back to stock. Got top money for the car and flogged all the bits (in most cases) for what I paid. The remap was dead money, but you accept that.
Selling it modded wouldn't have got me anywhere near the same amount, look at what Hurdy got for his car - although it was a bargain for the buyer, depends what side of the fence you're on.

It is generally always better to return to stock. Not many will buy a modded car unfortunately.
