Ok, since replacing my diverter valve a couple of weeks ago, I seem to now have a large feeling flat spot in the rev's.
Between 3000 to 4000rpm, if I nail the throttle, it feels like the cars pulling back ,and the rev's feel flat, and above 4000 and beyond, she pulls hard to the redline with no issue.
If I'm more gradual on the throttle through that rev range, it's fine with no feeling of an issue, seems the higher the gear ie 4th and above the worse it feels?.
I've since re inspected the dv and all is still 100%.
I'm running just a green cotton oem filter with tb milltek only.
Could this be fuel starvation? Thought bluefin stage 2 wouldn't need an upgrade?
if the timing is being retarded or pulling back, why would it be doing that?
The car has been commented on jkm's rollers in the past to sound as if it's doing this "pulling back" by vRStu and hedge.
Any ideas on what to do?
Cheers :happy2:

sounds like coil pack to me or a dodgy plug
-
get it logged. i had this issue too. theres a massive thread about it somewhere
-
I've had 4 coils replaced a month or so ago on the recall.
When someone pointed out about the revs pulling back was about a year ago, but I think I've been driving around with a split dv for sometime, and the fault would of been covered up and not apparent...
It's seems to have come to light since the dv replacement ??

The car doesn't actually appear to misfire , almost feels like a fuel starve, but if you hold the revs gradually in that rev range, rather then surprising it, it doesn't seem to do it..
Oh and doesn't appear when put back to stock map...

You need VCDS :happy2:

I have vcds, but I never logged before and are unsure how you do it.. HEXCAN
If I check for misfires in vagcom, nothing appears at fault..
I did however have a low fuel pressure error when I looked a couple of weeks back, hasn't appeared ever before, and won't reappear either
could this be cam follower wear? If never changed it on mine.
-
need to log fuel pressure req vs actual Steve :happy2:
could be the cam follower but wouldnt worry just yet.
Def worth getting the pump off and changing the follower anyway as a service item.

I used to get hesitations on my TFSI Leon and checked for missfires but never once did Vagcom pick up missfires during the hesitations at approx 5K.
The only time missfires were present were on tickover.
Doing some live logs with VC would shed much more light on things. :happy2:

That's ^^block 106.
I would also check blocks 020 (correctional factor on cylinders 1-4) and block 115 (boost actual and requested) at the same time.

Sounds like fuel cut to me Steve.

Have you ever changed the plugs?

Have you ever changed the plugs?

Dealer changed them so i dam well hope so :signLOL:

:signLOL: very true

Just been for another Blast, and it seems to be apparent between 4000- 4500 rpm and more prominant the higher the gear, ie 4th is better than 6th...
More Load the worse it seems, but only if i nail the throttle between the above rpms.
