i had done 60k on mine mapped for most of em with no damage at all. Does any one know of any in the uk that have had a hole in the follower? i think most if not all is usa based due to the sh1t fuel they stick in the car

There is a few on the early cars, but VW revised the follower at some stage. :happy2:

I have replaced 2 shafts/pumps due to the follower wearing through, both on stock motors.

Got mine checked at 90k by JKM but they said it looked like new :confused:

Great t-shirt. Ive seen a few followers with holes in. Not a nice sight and will leave your wallet much lighter!

Why due to poor fuel? I thought the cam follower wear was oil side?
I have replaced 3 for people, and I have put a straight edge across and mic'd each one, and no discernible wear found.
