Anyone bought from here before?
I'm having trouble with their online shop, nothing gets added to my cart so I registered with them to see if a login might fix but it's not even letting me log in :S
Bit of a bad show when you're looking to plonk some serious money down!
-
Is this a wheels website or something else that you probably shouldn't be sharing.
-
Alloy wheels apparently :scared:
well I couldn't wait so I called them up and ordered my wheels... but am very nervous now lol
-
enough talk about anal bleaching, what wheels have you bought.

Other choice was CH-Rs in satin black which are super nice but also about a lot more :scared:
-
I like them Neo nearly bought a set myself a Lil wile ago
-
Well it's done now :scared: I'm feeling buyer's remorse already!
-
We demand a full set of pics once on the car. :happy2:
-
I bought my VZ's off them, had no problems at all
Nice quick delivery and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!
Matt :happy2:
-
I bought my PR1.2's with R888's from them. Had no problems with ordering. There were delays getting the tyres but they phoned me every day to give me updates on how things were proceeding and what luck they were having with tracking the tyres down.
Very good service in my book. Would use them again. :happy2:
-
Rang them and ordered locking wheel nuts of them and they arrived next day
-
i brought some borbets of them for my old focus - great product, very helpfull sales team, and even upgraded the tyres as i had to wait an extra week for them to be delived due to snow :)
-
Still haven't received my wheels :scared: and no phone calls to update, hopefully will get them tomorrow...
-
Well after speaking to them the wheels are delayed by six working days, which I'm OK with...
..but I'm being bullied at work into swapping for these instead :chicken:

What's your thoughts, oh forum?
-
Personally I prefer the first as they are a bit different to the normal CH look

I prefer the 2nd set. :happy2:
-
On the topic of the 2nd set, I saw a white leon cupra parked up at lunch with those rims fitted. Did look quite tidy I must say
-
Gosh darnit. I actually prefer the CH-Rs as well but they're more expensive... :sad1:
Gotta pay to play I guess. It's only money, right? Better call rimstyle and let them know... :P
-
I much prefer the CH-R. The CS just dont look right because the dark spokes just get lost.
Rich
-
CH-Rs are the future!
-
Alright, alright, I've given in to peer pressure and have changed my order :P
-
I think NeilM had a set of those on his eddy! Stunning wheels!
-
Plus they won't look that good as you won't get that much dish! :sad1:

Well rimstyle will be despatching the CH-Rs on Monday afternoon, they didn't have Pirellis in stock so got a decent deal (I hope) on Yokohoma Advans, but need to check if they're the Sport or the Neova...
Hopefully they'll be on the car and full of nitrogen by Tuesday or Wednesday...

Nitrogen?
I've hear the Nissan gtr has nitrogen filled tyres because it's more stable. Where do you fill them and do you notice any difference?
-
Improved (that is, reduced) pressure variation over varying conditions (hence the greater stability), slower rate of pressure loss (as nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules) and some also say that it results in reduced corrosion on wheels.
Kwikfit/Costco etc offer nitrogen filling now. Not expensive either, something like £1/tyre (though admittedly 20p at the petrol station could give you air for all four, but you know what I mean).

Ill give it a try :happy2:

When Costco fitted tyres to my Golf apart from damaging 2 of the rims they under-inflated them so badly it was a joke. After inflating to the correct pressure I can assure you there was no advantage to be found.
Just remember if you use 'normal' air it is still nearly 80% nitrogen filled anyway. :rolleye:
-
Wasn't saying I use Costco, just that they offer nitrogen :P
It's the 20% other stuff (18% oxygen in air IIRC) that is the large cause of pressure differentials and leakage anyhoo.

Did I say you were? Just giving you the benefit of my experiences.

It's been fine for me for the last 24years.
-
Right move changing to the second set. :happy2:
-
Those CH-Rs are gorgeous. How much are we talking for a set sans tyres?
-

Yeah but I'm a whore for the latest fashions

Too much! £1600ish or so.
-
Yeah but I'm a whore for the latest fashions
Just a whore would have done. :signLOL:

Truth :signLOL:

What's the difference between the CH and the CH-R?
-
They're more expensive.
...
...pithy answer aside, IIRC they've got machined arms instead of cast arms.

And machined is better? why?
-
Stronger and lighter than cast...
-
Maybe i should have got those instead of my CHs then... :sad1:
-
Doubt it makes an difference in the real world tbh. A fool and his gold and all that :chicken:
-
Well they've arrived, and after much nonsense* they are on the car :chicken:
I am a happy bunny. Pics tomorrow...
*A friend of mine at work - let's call him the "Smiler" - the same guy who persuaded me to a) buy a Karmann Ghia and b) do a full pan-off resto two weeks after I bought the damn thing persuaded me to do the wheels myself in the workshop at work. Cue much Chuckle brothers as half the desk jockeys flood out of their offices to get involved. Cute secretary who came by for a look had a good laugh though.
-
we need pics of the secretary

I'll see if I can get her to pose with the car later today
