As above, was just wondering on the stages and actual parts which need upgrading to go this far like the chaps from Stattlers have done with their Eddies' and what the actual likely cost will be?
Not likely to do it just interested, or is there a build thread where someone has done this?

All my work is done at Stattlers mate and I think I have everything they have except the big turbo.
I'm definitely keen, but if I do I will switch to GIAC not REVO!!

Dont know much about GIAC - is it American based? Presume highly thought of if Statllers use it?
-
I think its US or European.
I'd just want whoever did the big turbo to be comfortable with the software. Would be a pain to get Stattlers to do doing the work in Shef then have to take every single mapping issue to REVO in Daventry or wherever.
I'm curious why Hurdy never did this though as he was close to them and owned my car before me. Must be a reason.

he never went big turbo, he had all the parts ready for the conversion but changed his mind and went nitrous instead
-
Yeah... that doesn't really explain it though mate.
Matt

his reasons for not going iirc was to do with the minimal performance advantage it would give compared to th eeveryday loss of drivability due to the K04 getting on boost much earlier.
this shows at the 1/4 mile when the guys with Hybrids/Gt28s are running the same times as others in K04 stage 2+ cars
-
Hurdy knocked this up comparing hjis K04 REVO stage 2+ compared to DanGBs GT28 converted stage 3 leon with WMI

K04 is making nearly 100hp/100lbft more than the BT car at 3500rpm which is about where the car is running everyday.
now compare that to hurdys before and after nitrous graphs and you can see why he went this way

Crystal clear now mate, cheers.

It does show very clearly that a 390 hp motor and a 340 hp motor might feel quite different on the road. I would take the K04 any day of the week.
-
To be fair, I have been in Steve at Stattlers car and it feels bloody quick and smooth...

pretty sure the guys at Stattlers are runnin hybrid K04's, so maybe best of both worlds????
-
^^^+1, i think the hybrid K04s would be placed in the middle of the k04 and a big turbo with drivability. Not sure about reliability though
-
Ah ok, thought that is what we were on about here. Yeah they are running hybrid K04's. I wouldst wanna be 'first' or in unknown territory.
Both Steve and Craig are making about 430 bhp on their hybrids. Nice cars by all accounts.

I've gotta go and see the Stattlers guys at some point to get my gearbox swopped over, I'll be asking them about their hybrids

ditto, so does a hybrid KO4 mean that it retains some internals but swaps others for say, Porsche Cayenne internals, to generate the extra grunt??
-
somethinglike that, hurdy will be able to tell you what was done. I think you need to start loking into bigger injectors, and uprated internals though
