Wasnt sure where to post this!
Is it possible to do a straight swop for the following onto a mkv 2.0 tdi?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SET-4-17-GENUINEVW-GOLF-MONZA-ALLOYS-TYRES-/290555134940?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item43a66f83dc#ht_302wt_187 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SET-4-17-GENUINEVW-GOLF-MONZA-ALLOYS-TYRES-/290555134940?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item43a66f83dc#ht_302wt_187)
This may sound like a stupid question, but will I need to buy new tyres as well, or will I be able to use my current tyres?
What should I be looking to pay for a decent set of these?
Thanks for all replies.

The monzas will fit no problem.
The mk5 stud pattern is 5x112 for future reference.
What size wheels are on the car now??
If you have a early GT TDI the standard wheels were 16's so the tyres wont fit.
If you have a facelift GT TDI then the standard wheels were 17" so you could use the tyres on the 17" monzas.
If you have a TDI then you could have 15" wheels :rolleye:

Thanks for the reply and useful information. I've got an 05 GT tdi so it's 16" on that.
Where is the best place to pick up a decent set of 2nd hand ones? Is it the bay?

some earlygt tdi had the option of having 17" rims on as a up grade like mine did from new

Keep an eye on the for sale thread, they come up quite often.
Failing that, about £300 for a scuffed set on ebay.
