Hi lads when retrofitting these seats do they require any coding or anything using VCDS ???
-
Iirc you need to code out the own seats airbag?
-
Ok cheers Dom would u be able to do this???
-
Of course I can, you actually might be able to help me out too - fitting a boost gauge. :happy2:
You need to disable the side airbags with VCDS to keep things tidy. Failing to disable them may cause the entire airbag system to be disabled.
To disable the side airbags (side airbags are in the seats, not to be confused with the head airbags in the b-pillars) go into Option 15 (Airbags) in VCDS, select "10 - Adaptation" and then set channels 3 and 4 to "1". Then clear all DTCs and try again. This should be all that is required.

ok cheers dom can do the boost gauge for ya if u want mate :happy2:

If they are proper Recaro's then there should be a resistor kit to disable the airbag warning light.

-
I'd try ringing a UK based Recaro dealer. :surprised:
