Title: downpipe fitting

has anybody on here got a step/step guid to fitting a downpipe!!!!! with pics if poss

Its all in the haynes manual. I'd buy one if you havent already (theres so many steps I cant remember them all  :laugh:)

Its easily done though, albeit some parts need two people as the system is so heavy

Access to the manifold bolts isnt particularly easy, especially the one at the bottom closest to the engine. I had to use a multitude of ratchets, sockets and extensions to get them all undone/done up

I also purchased a 16mm deep socket to remove the upper dp bolt nearest the engine.  The rest come off easy using a 16mmm spanner.  Though if you can get a ratcheting spanner it would be even easier!  I removed mine when I knocked out the pre cat and the whole process from start to finish took me 1.5 hours  :jumpmove:
