Title: Hello & advice needed!
Post by: gtry on April 25, 2011, 08:21:52 pm
Hello boys & girls... I've had my Golf GTi for nearly 6 months after having a few Polo's over the past couple of years.

The car's in at the garage following a bit of bother with one of the wheels and I need to get my hands on a 17 inch to replace the original.  Firstly, does anyone have any suggestions aside from eBay as this doesn't seem to be giving me much luck?

Also...(here's the advice), My car is black and I'm thinking of getting the wheels sprayed white when I get them back. On my previous cars I've always had deep dished market wheels but I want to keep the originals on this as I think they make the GTi. I've had a look for something similar but can't find anything... Is this because it will look terrible and I'm being stupid suggesting it?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum  :pomppomp:

As for black car with white wheels, it really is a case of trial and error.

Hi and welcome.

Have a look at a few of the members' rides threads to get some ideas, and look at the mk5/6 wheel thread.  :happy2:
