Title: B Pillars & Seatbelt issues
Post by: dubfordstyling on April 26, 2011, 11:40:17 am
I've recently swapped out my standard GTI interior and fitted an complete R32 Interior.  In doing so I had to remove the B Pillar trims and drop them down so I could fit the rear door cards.  Now I find my seatbelts are so slow to retract and I have to literally feed them back to stop myself tripping over them - not cool when your trying to get out in public!!

Anyone had this or know why?  Is it something stupid like a tiny spring?

I would say you have not got the mechanism back in the right place at the top of the B pillar, Can you adjust the seat belt position on the B pillar? also just check every thing is in place and nothing has sprung out???

Darren :happy2:

No, I can't adjust the seat belt position either come to think of it.  I there normally a spring that fits in it?

When I got my car I had the same issue, I removed the pillar and had a play about, re fitted it and now it works fine.  Just have a fiddle with it.
