Title: TBE = Exhaust Light.....
Post by: MattPoss on April 26, 2011, 01:03:41 pm
Ive just fitted my TBE about 150 miles ago and whilst driving along today the Exhaust Warning Light came up on the dash.

I'd read about it and knew it might happen but my question is am I still ok to drive the car with the light on?!

I'll be getting an Intake and Stage 2 map when I can afford it which will remove the light but will it do any damage to the car in the meantime?! The car still drives fine, no limp mode e.t.c

Cheers,
Matt

Yes it will be fine pal. As long as the fault is for the new zorst fitting which it 99.9% seems like.  :happy2:

Stage 2 is only £50 which should remove the light anyway. But as TC says, if it's just an emmisions light, it'll be fine..
Mine came up once when I was still Stage 1 with TBE and my mate VAG specialist reset the light and I never saw it again..

Thanks for that folks, I had the car VCDS checked about 2 weeks ago and all was clear then so I can only imagine it is due to the exhaust :happy2:

I'm still on the stock map, going to get the parts together first then go straight to a Stage 2 Map :driver:

Cheers again,
Matt
