You can get 45,000 people in a stadium to watch a football match but we can't get 20,000 to protest against the petrol prices.

£1.33.9 a litre here in Sheffield - and I've just got my 6p a litre off token from Morrisons, so that knocks it back to £1.27.9.

Still more than it should be though!! :stupid:

Saw a story about a place in Germany that was charging €9.99 a litre over the Easter weekend. One driver put 21 litres in and it cost him 185 quid!

Well I use v-power and have a v-power card which the money back vouchers justify the pence difference between normal unleaded and v-power... Well it used too... Used to be 6p difference between the two, now 8p difference and of course less points as less litres for you money... Might have to try Tescos at fleetsbridge, is tescos doing 5p off at mo!?

Well with the points and fuel vouchers, they're pretty much paying you to use v-power, so he'll why not! ;-)

Agreed Dom, but shell didnt send my last batch of vouchers lol. Ive got almost 2000 points now so itll be a nice discount when it comes around at last lol

And no, I dont think they are-  they are just much cheaper than shell for 99ron atm

the TT costs me circa £200 a month in shell's finest.  £200 well spent, I enjoy driving it, don't smoke or drink (much!) so my vice is a 5 pot!

it averages 26 ish to the gallon too!  great value!

Do it? I tried a couple of tanks of super and couldn't really notice a difference. Definitely not 8p a litre's worth of anyone's money. Besides, everyone raves about Shell V Max and I don't live anywhere near an outlet. Tis about a 50 mile round trip to the nearest Shell station!

Little rant.....? My local shell used to be £1.33.9, when the chancellor took 1p of fuel,my shell put vpower up to £1.34.9 ? it's now went up to £1.39.9 so since the budget and he tried to help us with the fuel duty ,it's went up and up now 6p a litre so how did he help us ? NOT...!!!. rant over i did choose to move from a 1.9tdi soot chucker to a 2.0T petrol and i love it lol.

I've just filled up for the 3rd time this week and was 141.9 for v power, but end of last week was 138.9 iirc, so £200 for 3 tanks. I could have avoided filling up as much but I get an itchy right foot once my comp says 200miles done with 250 remaining lol

Filled up today... £50 of 99RON for £45.

Was surprised it cost so much as it just under half full!  :scared:

I just put £60 worth of 95 RON in at the weekend because I got a 6ppl coupon from Morrisons , went to Sunderland and back (150 mile round trip) and managed to get 38 MPG (indicated) by not caning it for a change! PS since I posted above about the prices , it has went up 2p a litre here.

Someone is taking the piss.

This has nothing to do with supply/ demand.

Probably some cartel betting on the futures Market pushing prices ever higher.

Remember when it went over a pound and we had road blocks etc. It all stopped, wtf happened? Where is the dude who organised it all? (on a beach in The Bahamas sponsored by Shell?)?

(rant over)

I'm currently on the IOM and can't as yet find any 99ron and it's 149.9 for normal unleaded!

was working out the mpg on the pirelli based on a round trip to kent and it worked out it costs about 26p per mile on that run which was essentially a tank full (ironic given lower inland revenue rate works out at 25p)

no sign of it coming down either  :sad1:
