Just been thinking whether a tuning company would be able to put a map on a dsg car that is switchable through the gearbox ie select 'd' and the car run on standard map...
select 's' and the car run on the remap?
How good would that be :driver:
I cant believe its not been done (unless it has and i haven't heard of it). Does anyone know if this is do-able?

I wouldnt image so - the gearbox has its own brain.

I have that on mine its called my right foot, all you have to do is press the loud pedal lighter and hey presto standard map.
The Giac map can be changed on the move as well i believe.

Yeah ive been looking at giac, saw a video on youtube of how the flashloader works and its great. Just thought it would be a nice little touch and something different!
-
Also doesn't really make sense as the S-Mode holds the gears for longer so you would get your car redlining all the time if driving with the map on...
-
Yeah but surely if you were wanting to make the most of the map then you would be wanting to allow the car to rev so the 's' mode would be ideal? Admittedly you wouldnt be able to just make use of the extra torque from the map, which i suppose is one of the main benefits... Oh well just a thought.

Just hurry up and get the remap and milltek done, that way i can try before i buy....
