Hi All,
I've done plenty of searches on here - and get many differing results.
Basically, I have standard head unit, with CD - and a 6CD under the armrest (which I believe is standard). I just want the cheapest way possible of hooking up my iPod/iPhone to the stereo. Not bothered about controlling it from headunit/steering wheel (although this would be nice!) but just the sound is enough for now.
I intend to fit an aftermarket Bluetooth phone kit (probably a Bury cc9060 as had one before and they were brilliant) - but if anybody has any 'two birds with one stone ideas' they have used, then great!
Cheers for any help in advance! :-)

I just went to see about ipod for mine, I have the standard stereo. For 100 quid they will fit an adapter to rear of stereo that you plug into your head phone socket. Or for 280 quid there was a nice alpine in there that they will fit, single din. It come with ipod connector that charges phone etc and also hands free telephone kit.
I am trying to decide which one now.

Was that £100 from a main dealer ?

Jamma - where was the £100 option from?
Ta.

It's in Bournemouth . It does not charge the iPod it fits in headphone socket of any mp3 player but it's cheapest route I have found without buying a new stereo

Yep, Jamma is correct.
VW sell an adapter which plugs into the rear of the radio and normally has the plug in the glove box.
The only down side is very limited use of the ipod, and I believe you need to operate the ipod to navigate the playlist / track etc
I hope this helps?

I have this, I bought it for £60 off eBay (genuine VW adapter). It works like a CD changer, playlist 1-5 and playlist 6 is a random selection of songs.
