Do you think there is a chance that my MY08 Ed30 which seems to lose it's pull at about 4000rpm could be dodgy coil packs? It's been remapped a week ago btw
-
I know it's a lot but here is the original thread about coil packs.

Cheers... probably worth asking the stealers to run a check on them, when it's in next week

My Ed30 started misfiring after being re-mapped - on full throttle across the rev range, with the "check exhaust" light flashing occasionally. Turns out it was a dud coil pack, but this didn't show up on diagnostics initially. Possibly a coincidence?

What are the symptoms of a coil pack which has gone?

In my case it was misfiring on full throttle acceleration, plus flashing "check exhaust" light. i.e. it was obvious that something was wrong.
-
RobB so did you just replace all 4 coil packs just in case they were dud?

No, just changed the one showing the fault code, which solved the problem. For now, at least ...
