When I play my iPod classic through my RCD510 using the MDI I get a 'gap' between the track I'm listening to and the next starting which is only notiacable when listening to albums. For example when playing an album the tracks won't mix into one another as the you would get if you listened to the CD on a stereo. I get this annoying gap between one track and another. It's obviously not that noticable when you mix a playlist as the tracks aren't mixed to blend into the next.
How the bloody hell do I stop this? I't s driving me nuts :fighting:

You need to update your MDI firmware. It will improve it/get rid of it. I had the same issue
There is often a small gap but it shouldnt be too noticeable

Firmware is for units with a software version of 0090 or greater, if firmware is unable to be updated or you have already flashed this version it will not load.
Download the firmware from the link above.
Copy the file mdi.bin.enc in the root (top) level of a USB flash drive and insert this into the USB cable.
Turn the headunit on and the update will proceed. If the MDI is selected the status will be displayed.
After around 1 minute the update will complete and the USB flash drive may be removed.

As mentioned doesn't totally eliminate the breaks that get added to the end of tracks when you hit selection now at least the menu takes you to the right place and not to 'tracks' all the time!
