The Red stitching theme is now complete, with the steering wheel

Unfortunately the MK6 Climate panel had to come out due to compressor problems, but hopefully will get a solution soon so it can go back

Hi Lee
The compressor gets shutdown by the engine control module. Strange as it sounds Darren's works, Scott and my one doesn't.

If the original panel has ECON then it will be a gamble if it works.
If it has AC instead of ECON it should be fine
SeanK had some trouble with his AC after he changed from an ECON panel to an AC panel

I'm hoping there will be a fix

Ed will you check what ECU part number you have on VAGcom please mate,  also what build date is your car? basically I think the reason the mk6 climate isn't working is something to do with the ECU and the revision on yours and Scott's car.

Your car is looking well by the way mate :happy2:

I read and saved my immo data, I posted the 974 clocks and key from donor vehicle to kalu and sent the immo via email. He did his magic and posted them back, all I had to do was correct the mileage with vag-com

They were breaking the Golf Match, so when I bought the cluster I asked for the key.

You don't need the key, but Kalu has to take the clocks apart if you don't.

Hey Ed, I found this while trolling google:

http://vwnavi.com/thread9170-29.html (http://vwnavi.com/thread9170-29.html)

Loads of info about the climatronic swap. I couldn't make head or tail of it with a glance, probably needs someone who knows about this to understand better, but maybe some info in there to help you?

Apologies if you have seen it or it's been posted before.

This is the 3rd set of heated seats that I have fitted. It is a time consuming process, but not too difficult.

lumber is easy to do, you will need a loom from kufatec and a new air con panel with the switches

Have a look under your seats

If you have 1x control box near the front on the passenger side seat

you will want seats 2007 onwards with heating and lumber (sitzheizung & Lordose)

if you have 2x control boxes near the front on both seats the buy 2006

If you have 1x Control box you will either need to swop seat looms and control box (this is what I do)
or extend the loom from kufatec

Excellent work! I'm a fan of all the OEM+ upgrades - really updates the car nicely!  :happy2:

To fit the under-seat drawers do you have to fully remove the front seats or can you just lever them up?  Do you have to rivet them to the seat frame or is there a cheat-way?

Hi Eddie sorry to revive an old thread but I'm a new member and can't find out how to PM you? I have brought an rcd510 dab. What aerial do I need for the dab to work and what lead to get to it? Many thanks

Hi Eddie,

Are you still doing VW Retrofits for the VW Golf MK5? If yes then please PM me? I haven't posted yet so seem unable to PM you directly or am I doing something wrong?

Hello Eddie

I have a mk5 gt and I have some problems with my midline cluster and I need to change it .
I found a high line  cluster from a gt ,
Is there a way to see if it will work and be able to transfer the odometer reading as well as the immo code from my old cluster and write them to the new cluster ?
Part numbers maybe ?

Thanks a lot

Hi there Eddie-NL,
I was reading a post about a guy’s project, and he mentioned you helped him with coding his ABS module. I have basically the same situation. The ABS module on my MK5 R32 went bad, and I replaced it with a new one. Problem is the stock ABS module is a MK60, and the new one is a MK60EC1. I have vcds, but can’t seem to find a way to coding it properly. Is there anything you could do to help me? I have already swapped the front brake lines because they are crossed on the new pump, and also swapped the pins on the ABS module connector using a chart to match the diagram on the new module. I tried to send you a private message, but it didn’t work. Hoping you can at least point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

@Lilucas_R32 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=25312)    - Don't think Ed is on here very much since he sold his Mk5 a while ago.

However PM a scan of your car, then maybe I can help you with that ABS long coding.

Did do this MK60 MK60EC1 swap myself.

Chris. :drinking:
