Lovely spec that
If I was going for a GTI that is the spec I'd be looking at :happy2:
Did you manage to negotiate a decent discount?
-
Very nice :congrats:
-
Eeek - £31,950 on the road. Books at £34,940 so almost £3k
-
Thought they had taken the RVC from the options?

Dealer says now part of the Park Assist only....
Which is weird option. For those that don't know (I didn't) you drive past a parking spot, parallel parking, put it into reverse and it does the rest steers and everything. You just have to control the speed.
Demoed on a spot that was only just bigger than the Golf. I would have driven past...
-
What happens if you try to do it in a spot too small?
-
^^^ It selects the parking spot for you. You press the button and drive pass the parked cars on the left and on the highline display it shows when it finds a space big enough.
-
Well to be precise. When you want to park you press a button next to the tyre pressure one.
As you drive along a road looking for a spot so does the car. when there is one big enough it shows on the highline as a gap, hard to describe.
Once you have moved far enough forwards you just select reverse.
It does everything except control the speed, quite freaky.
Thought we were going to clip the car in front, the parking sensors were going mad etc.
Bet there is a YouTube of it somewhere...
Going to be great for keeping the alloys curb free (especially when other half parks)
Ooops Steve beat me to it...

-
WoW!
I saw something similar on TG but it didn't work out. Think it was a toyota or something.
-
Is that new or used?
-
Is that new or used?
Think it was a lexus, although they were pratting around to make it entertaining
Congratulations on the purchase :happy2:
-
Is that new or used?
New, unregistered, was the sales directors order. But had to cancel as put him over the tax limit. If you believe that.
-

This assumes that both cars are parked fully on the road.
afaik you would kerb your rims if those cars were each parked with two wheels on the pavement and two on the road.

Sweet :happy2:

I was going to ask if the park assist accounts for the curb as well, with the Monza'shaving no lip it could be an expensive test.
Nice looking car, though rather you than me. £31k :surprised:

As said be aware though it uses the cars in front & behind to line up with so if one or both of them are very close to or on the kerb so will you be...

Perhaps , if you could find one, a second hand R would have been in order...

I've not worked it out but I guess he's got 8/9% discount which isn't bad for a VAG car.

Sweet - Huddersfield Volkswagen by any chance?

-
That's deffo a photo outside the Hudds branch tho?
-
Lovely motor you've gone and bought and one of the only colours I like the mk6 GTI in aswell :happy2:
-
Wowser!! Indeed a nice car. And that parking assist is seriously freaky! Next it'll be driving for you...
Congrats on the big buy. When do you pick it up?
-
Deffo Leeds - Took the picture this afternoon. Car is probably still their, they were locking up as we left.
Big Birthday pressie from the wife so may have to wait until the 20th
Think she was getting a little fed up - test drove a few cars over the past three weekends... A4 3.0 Quattro, 330 Touring, C350 etc. Wanted an estate car, but I love the little Golf.
-
I thought Huddersfield at first also, but then again all VW dealers have a similar layout. Great car mate, would be great if you did something like a comparison against a Mk5 GTI?
-
Glad others are as bad as me, as soon as i saw the pic i thought huddersfield VW.
